NOTE:  Official GAP Baseball Uniform must be worn to play.  All New Players MUST purchase Jerseys and Cap.  Veteran Players who already own the uniform need not purchase another uniform to play.

At all times, I agree to and support:

Positive and exemplary sportsmanship, and appropriate demeanor towards everyone;

Safety and well-being of players, coaches, umpires and spectators;

First-class representation of players, families, coaches, umpires spectators and the GREAT AMERICAN PASTIME BASEBALL LEAGUE;

Always playing within the established rules of the game (e.g., age limits, etc);

The understanding that participation with the GREAT AMERICAN PASTIME BASEBALL LEAGUE is a privilege and a player decision, competely voluntary, without any pressure or coersion;

Physical, mental and spiritual preparation and fitness;

NO REFUND OF PLAYER REGISTRATION FEES FOR ANY REASON, as stipulated on our website, www.gapbaseball.com;

Realization that all of our activities are designed to enhance men's fellowship only - for fun only!;

Equal respect and value for every teammate and opponent regardless of size, experience, talent, or performance...no criticism or "looking down on" anyone in any manner at any time for any reason whatsoever;

Mutual respect, tolerance, understanding, and caring in all team/league matters;

Umpire decisions (...whether we understand, like, or agre with them!)...and no "umpiring" from the stands or dugouts;

Emphasis on team spirit, team unity and player effort;

Encouragment of everyone involved...players, coaches umpires, et al;

Tactful, quiet, one-on-one discussion of any concerns, questions or ideas with coaches or league representatives;

Acknowledgement that each of us is responsible for our own thoughts, feelings, attitudes, decisions and behaviors;

Importance of leaving each other, each dugout, each ball park, each tournament site, and each situation in better shape than we found them;

Liability Waiver:  The risk of injury from the activities involved in this program is significant, including the potential for permanent paralysis and death, and while particular rules, equipment, and personal discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of serious injury does exist; and, I KNOWINGLY AND FREELY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS, both known and unknown, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES or others, and assume full responsibility for my participation; and, I willingly agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation. If, however I observe any unusual significant hazard during my presence or participation, I will remove myself from participation and bring such to the attention of the nearest official immediately; and, I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, persona representatives and next of kin, HEREBY RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS THE GAPBL, LLC., their officers, officials, agents and/or employees, the CITIES OF SIMPSONVILLE, GREENVILLE, GREER, ANDERSON, MAULDIN, LAURENS, LIBERTY AND TRAVELERS REST OR ANY OF THEIR AGENTS, the COUNTIES OF GREENVILLE, LAURENS, PICKENS, SPARTANBURG AND ANDERSON AND ANY OF THEIR AGENTS, and other participants sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the event ("Releases"), WITH RESPECT TO ANY AND ALL INJURY, DISABILITY, DEATH, or loss or damage to person or property, WHETHER ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES OR OTHERWISE, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
